Jackie Marcum, Finance Manager

Jackie Marcum
Director of Finance & Development

I first joined a Moms in Prayer group the year that all three of my boys attended a new elementary school in our area. I noticed right away that the women prayed the entire hour with no talking about their concerns, but instead lifted them up to God.

I had no idea how much I needed Moms in Prayer in my life. One year later, my family went through a very difficult time. My six year old niece was diagnosed with a brain tumor and 18 months later went to be with Jesus. There were several months that I had a difficult time praying out loud in my Moms in Prayer group, but the other moms knew my heart. They would lift up my boys in prayer and through the Holy Spirit, knew exactly what to pray. Because of Moms in Prayer, I’ve been able to let go of fear and let God work in my sons’ lives.

My husband, Joe, and I have been married for 29 years and we have three adult sons who have all been blessed with amazing, godly wives. As a recent empty-nester, I’m still figuring out my hobbies in this new stage in life, but I enjoy going on walks with Joe and watching college football (a carryover from my days as a marching band mom).

I earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from UCSD and worked as an engineer before becoming a mom. I’m also the founder of Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center, a licensed medical clinic that provides free services and resources to women in crisis pregnancies. Working at Moms in Prayer as the Director of Finance is a perfect fit for me. I love numbers and I love this ministry!
