Mothers who work outside their homes have a great burden to pray for their children, but because of time constraints, may find it difficult to attend the Moms in Prayer group that prays for their school. If your work schedule doesn’t permit you to join the group praying for your child’s school, ask God to provide one other working mom, either from your child’s school or another school, to join you in prayer. Together, determine a time to meet, whether it’s evenings, weekends, lunchtime or before work.
“Moms in Prayer International has been such a blessing in my life! This will be my fifth year praying with a group of moms and my second year hosting a group in my home. For me, there’s no better use of my time; one hour of focused prayer, asking God to accomplish things in my children and at the school that a team of volunteers working round the clock may never be able to do.
I marvel at how I’ve seen God answer our prayers over the years and I’m excited to see how He will show up next in mighty ways.
There is just something so sweet and special about praying with other moms for our families, our children and our schools. This ministry has helped strengthen my faith and has helped connect me with other women who share my love for the Lord.
Trying to juggle the constant demands of motherhood and a career is tricky, but through Moms in Prayer I have met other women who are facing similar struggles, frustrations, joys and triumphs and we’re praying through it all…knowing God is in control and He has an awesome plan for our families.
One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 40:11, ‘He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.’”
