“God, even in hard times, can turn ashes into beauty.” Today we begin our series, Moms in Bible Part 2. Don’t miss a moment of this power-packed episode talking about the very first mom in the Bible, Eve. Stacy’s special guest is author, speaker, Moms in Prayer mom and Sweet Selah Ministries founder, Sharon Gamble. Listen in as she points us all to the hope we have in Jesus who is always able to give us victory even if we feel defeated.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh!
She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Genesis 2:18-24
And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel. Genesis 3:15
If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? Matthew 18:12
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32
