Ghana

Country Coordinator,
Margaret Ackonu

In 2003 I started a Moms in Prayer group at my church after learning about the ministry through a book that a friend had given to me. I continued to share this prayer ministry with other women and receive further training from Moms in Prayer leadership. Through this ministry I have grown spiritually, especially, in my prayer life, and I have grown interpersonally as I continuously relate with women from diverse cultures.

I stepped into the role of Regional Coordinator in 2014. God has blessed us with very strong team members. We have more than 225 groups of women who are prayer warriors and who are always standing in the gap to pray for children and their schools in one accord. The Psalmist was so right in saying “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray and cry aloud and he shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17

Prayer thanks and requests

We thank God for:

  • area coordinators in five out of ten regions.
  • Margaret and Ambassador to Africa, Martha, and their recent travels across the country encouraging and developing leaders.

We are asking God:

  • for growth in groups throughout the country as a result of the recent 10 year anniversary celebration of Moms in Prayer in Ghana.
  • to help area coordinators and contact persons thrive under Margaret’s faithful leadership.
