The Moms in Prayer International ministry was an answer to prayer when I became a desperate mother in 2008. My son Immanuel was going through a difficult time in his teens. I shared my burden with a friend and she too felt the need to pray, so we began praying and soon many moms joined us. Today we have English and Tamil speaking groups with two area coordinators.
When I began to pray following the Four Steps of Prayer in one accord, God began to answer prayers. These weekly prayers have produced transformation in my personal life, I am more at peace, my faith has increased, I’ve learned to let go and not to worry, and above all, I’ve learned to be more thankful for all things whether good or bad. For all that I have received from this ministry, I want to pass on to other moms in India who are struggling. Every mother who has joined Moms in Prayer has been blessed; their children, their spouses and their homes are being transformed by the love of Christ.
After I attended the Arise! Cry Out! (ACO) 25th anniversary celebration in 2009, every year in November we host an ACO event. Around Children’s day (which is held in India on November 14th) we gather Christian moms for a day of fasting and prayer for the children, teachers and schools in Vellore and throughout India. We have been conducting ACO in English for seven years and the ACO in Tamil for two years. Last year we had nearly 1000 women attend the meeting. Praise God!
