Cathi Armitage has been part of the Moms in Prayer ministry for over twenty years. She serves as a group leader and was the area coordinator in the Poway Unified School District. Cathi served as a Moms in Prayer board member for 9 years, 2 of those as the board chair. She currently directs the Global Ministry Department where the team oversees 145 countries, helping to encourage and train leaders. It is her great joy and privilege to connect mothers to groups both locally and globally. Cathi speaks at local and regional events.
Cathi is grateful for her Christian parents who live nearby and continue to pour into her with a life of love and service. They have modeled a legacy of faith in action. She grew up in a small town in Ohio and has lived in Southern California for the last twenty-eight years. Cathi and her high school sweetheart, Matt, have been married for over thirty years and have three sons and one daughter who know and love Jesus. Her prayer journey with Moms in Prayer began when her oldest son started kindergarten. As her passion for prayer and closeness to the Lord increased, so did her desire to share the mission and vision of the ministry in a greater way.
Her other passions include cooking with and for her family. She also enjoys hiking in the local canyons and standup paddle boarding in the Pacific, where she watches the rest of her family surf. It is during those times that they all experience God’s glorious creation up close and personal.
