Jackie began her journey with Moms in Prayer in January of 1986 when she was invited to join Fern Nichols’ first Moms in Prayer (then known as Moms in Touch) group for Poway High School. She was hooked after that first meeting and has been in a group ever since. She now prays in a grandmother’s group that meets at the Moms in Prayer International office each Thursday morning.
Jackie began volunteering when Moms in Prayer needed a person to keep track of the local groups. That volunteer position expanded to managing the early database of groups throughout the United States, and then the world. She was also privileged to be on the original Moms in Prayer Board of Directors. Jackie was one of the first three ministry employees and continues to enjoy her work in the Events department assisting women in planning conferences in the USA.
Married for 52 years, Jackie and her husband Frank have two grown daughters and one grandson who is a senior in high school. Jackie and Frank love to travel. Two of their favorite places to visit (other than their daughter’s home) are Hawaii and Alaska where they take many photographs of God’s beautiful creation. Jackie’s favorite Bible passage is Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT), “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
