Jackie first joined a Moms in Prayer group the year that all three of her boys attended a new elementary school in their area. She noticed right away that the women prayed the entire hour with no talking about their concerns, but instead lifted them up to God.
Jackie had no idea how much she needed Moms in Prayer in her life. One year later, she and her family went through a very difficult time. Her six year old niece was diagnosed with a brain tumor and 18 months later went to be with Jesus. There were several months that she had a difficult time praying out loud in her Moms in Prayer group, but the other moms knew her heart. “They would lift up my boys in prayer and through the Holy Spirit, they knew exactly what to pray,” Jackie recalls. “Because of Moms in Prayer, I’ve been able to let go of fear and let God work in my sons’ lives.”
The proud mother of three sons, Jackie has a 21 year old recent college graduate, a 19 year old college student and a 17 year old high school senior. She’s a dedicated marching band and rugby mom, with many of her weekends spent watching band tournaments, college football games or rugby games.
Jackie earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from UCSD and worked as an engineer before becoming a mom. She’s also the founder of Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center, a licensed medical clinic that provides free services and resources to women in crisis pregnancies. She concludes, “Working at Moms in Prayer as the Director of Finance is a perfect fit for me. I love numbers and I love this ministry!”
