I became involved in Moms in Prayer in 1994 when our family moved to Poway. Now 22 years later, I’m still praying with several of the moms from that original group. God has knit us together and we are like a family. We have laughed and cried and held each other up as we prayed for our children from childhood to adulthood. It’s amazing to see God’s hand in our children’s lives and how He has grown them into godly men and women.

My husband and I will celebrate our 37th anniversary this year. We have four awesome children, two wonderful daughter-in-laws and our first grandbaby is due very soon. God has blessed our family abundantly. I truly believe it is our faith in Him that has helped us weather the storms in life. All of our children have a strong faith in Christ Jesus. Being a stay-at-home mom for 34 years, I believe in God’s Word to train up our children in Him and teach them to love and serve Jesus.

In March of this year I joined the staff at Moms in Prayer International headquarters. It is a joy to come to work and experience God moving and leading this ministry through the faithful working of all the amazing godly women here. It is truly inspirational. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my husband and children. I love to cook, but my passion is baking. I also like to read, crochet and put puzzles together.

One of my favorite passages is Colossians 3:23-24, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” I have tried to apply these verses to all areas of my life and taught them to my children at a young age.
