Lee Nienhuis is thrilled to be an area coordinator for Moms in Prayer International. Just a few words out of her mouth and you’ll wonder—what is that accent? She hails from the great state of Colorado, but considers herself blessed to be raising a family by Lake Michigan.
Lee surrendered her heart to Christ and her life to ministry in late high school years. That calling propelled her to Moody Bible Institute where she met her husband, Mike. Ultimately, Lee finished her education at Colorado Christian University achieving a B.A. in Organizational Management with an emphasis in Christian Leadership. Seventeen years ago, Lee began working with youth and her great joy is teaching and reaching the next generation with God’s amazing love for them. Time and life experiences have naturally opened doors to women’s and couple’s ministries, but what she loves most is a group of people who are ready to follow where the Lord leads. She is a passionate Bible teacher whose love for the Word is contagious.
Lee knows without a doubt that God led her into the Moms in Prayer ministry. Through a series of divine encounters, she experienced the way God pours out His mighty power when moms join together in prayer. The stories she can tell of His work in her kids’ lives, their teachers’ lives—and now in the lives of hundreds of other women. God is on the move in Moms In Prayer, and she is filled with joy to join in His work!
Lee and her farmer-husband, Mike, have four great kids and live in the middle of four acres of grass. She LOVES being a wife and mother, but when she isn’t carting kids, attending sporting events or whipping up dinners, Lee loves hot cups of coffee, deep friendships, conversations and laughing till her sides ache. She looks forward to meeting and serving you!
