Perri Houze
Finance Assistant

Perri heard about Moms in Prayer in 1991 on Dr. Dobson’s program. She had just moved to San Marcos, California and called immediately to find a group. She began praying with moms for the local elementary school that same week. Perri was pregnant with her fourth child, a daughter, and after she was born, the baby would go with Perri to the group. When she was a toddler, Perri moved the Moms in Prayer group to her house.

Perri has now prayed with the same moms for 26 years! She recalls, “Whenever anything major came up in my life, the moms were always the first to respond to my cry for help and prayer. I know their prayers sustained me.” Volunteering at Moms in Prayer International headquarters for a number of years, Perri always had a desire to work there… a dream that was fulfilled in September of 2015.

Perri’s husband is a mail carrier. They are a blended family with five children ages 25-38. All of their children are living on their own now so Perri and her husband’s time is spent with their two grandchildren and various ministries including prison ministry and Bible College teaching.
The Bible verse Philippians 3:14 is one of her favorites because according to Perri, “This verse reminds me that in spite of my failures and what life dishes out, I will press onward to the goal which is heaven!”

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 (NIV)
