Twelve years ago, while tuned into Focus on the Family, I heard Fern Nichols casting the vision for moms to pray on behalf of children and schools. I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to order the Moms in Prayer Booklet and register as a group leader on behalf of a small elementary school on the coast of Oregon. Over the years, we’ve moved. Our children left for college and started interviewing for jobs. It has been overwhelming to see the Lord’s faithfulness to answer my prayers. Truly, I have come to believe time in prayer has been one of the most important gifts I have given my children.
Now that our kids are grown, my husband Dan and I enjoy traveling more and continue embracing the verse:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
