Appalachian Division Coordinator, Joy Moreau

I have the great joy of being the Moms in Prayer Appalachian Division Coordinator for the states of North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Our Moms in Prayer mission, to impact children and schools for Christ, is the reason I’ve prayed in a group for the last 20 years. The desire of my heart is for the lives of children in our states to be so impacted for Christ that they follow Him all their days. God gives us His heart and His word to guide us as we pray. He is answering this prayer throughout the Appalachian states.

In my Moms in Prayer group, we prayed with a mom going through the process of adopting her foster children. There were many steps forward followed by huge steps backward before the adoption was complete. The children had great needs that we bathed in prayer. I’m thankful for being able to see God at work to bring this family together and provide for their needs.

I would love to hear from you. If you’re not in a Moms in Prayer group yet, you need to get connected! Experience another mom praying for your child and the joy of seeing God at work in your child’s school.

My Moms in Prayer Story

A friend from my church asked me to start a Moms in Prayer (MIP) group for my children’s school. I had heard about MIP on Christian radio when our sons were preschoolers and knew it was something I could do for them. But I wanted to join a group, not get one started. The Lord continued to remind me of the need for praying with other moms. He encouraged me and has been faithful to give me all I need to lead in prayer and to help others get started also. Christ tells us to stir one another up to love and good works. I encourage you to do this good work of meeting to pray together and invite women to join you.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)

My husband and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. We enjoy jet skiing, boating and spending time with our children and grandchildren.
