I was invited to join a Moms in Prayer group in 2001. We had recently moved and as a mom of two elementary school age children and a toddler, I welcomed the opportunity for prayer and fellowship with other moms.

During my years in Moms in Prayer, I have learned the importance of prayer for all matters big and small, trusting that God hears and cares deeply for each of our requests. Through the Four Steps of Prayer format, I’ve learned so much more about our God’s character as we praise Him and focus on His attributes. Our God is good, our provider, our defender and He is so faithful. In my 17 years of praying in Moms in Prayer groups, I have been delighted and in awe of God’s faithfulness, timing and creativity in the way He answers prayer. I’ve walked through many ages and stages with peace knowing that my Moms in Prayer sisters and I have prayed and trusted God.

I live in Northern Virginia with my husband Don. We’ve been married for 30 years, and many of them were spent as an Army family. We have three children and a new son-in- love. We enjoy family time, even more precious now as two of our children are grown.

What a privilege and a blessing to partner with the women of Virginia in Moms in Prayer.
