In the fall of 2001, my oldest daughter Caroline was entering middle school. My heart was very burdened for her and all the temptations she would face. I heard about Moms in Prayer through a friend and inquired if there was a group in my town. There was not. After hearing Fern Nichols’ testimony on Focus on the Family, I felt God’s call to start a group in Rochester, New Hampshire. As a result, I have been a part of this ministry for about 13 years now.

Moms in Prayer has been a huge blessing in my life and in the lives of my two sweet daughters. It has dramatically changed my prayer life, drawn me closer to my God, blessed me with lifelong friendships from other godly praying women, and my girls have witnessed, first-hand, God working in their lives. It is amazing to have other dear women praying for my children when I don’t know what, or how to pray, and to see so many answers to prayer over the past 13 years!

My husband Chris and I have been married for 30 years. He has supported me throughout my time in Moms in Prayer. We have two daughters, Caroline and Melissa, and two sons-in-love. God has also blessed us with two grandchildren, Benjamin, who is 17 months old, and Emmaline, who is 5 weeks old. I love cooking, singing, singing while cooking, and crocheting. I’ve even tried my hand at quilting.

One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
