Hawaii State Coordinator, Val Woo

Aloha Precious Mom!

Whether you are a Hawaii resident or have recently arrived here to the Islands, I welcome you to join moms who commit to praying one hour weekly in a Moms in Prayer group. I have prayed for my own son and daughter from middle to high school, college years, and beyond. You will be greatly encouraged, as I have been, to pray with other women with the same mom’s heart and prayer focus, using our four steps of prayer.

These are challenging times that we as moms find ourselves facing. However, with prayer you and I can live expectantly, trusting in the Lord’s promises in His Word. Make a difference in your child’s life and for their school, armed with scriptures and praying with another mom. I can help you get connected to a group or instruct you how to lead one with another mom. My vision is to multiply this process over and over again to see all the schools in Hawaii covered in prayer.

I would love to hear from you. If you’re not in a Moms in Prayer group yet, you need to get connected!

Experience another mom praying for your child and the joy of seeing God at work in your child’s school.

My Moms in Prayer Story

Back in 1995, I was invited to a Moms in Prayer ministry banquet by my cousin. I had first heard of the ministry through a Focus on The Family broadcast. It wasn’t long until I had a prayer partner to pray for my daughter in middle school and my son who started high school. I have seen many prayers answered – big and little, and all answered in the Lord’s impeccable timing. Through Moms in Prayer, I learned to pray the scriptures in agreement and grow closer to God through praising Him for His attributes.

All through middle and high school my daughter was like a flower attracting many interested boy bees! Many of her guy friends wanted to be more. In her freshman year away in college, she and a guy she liked each had their first ever real date with each other. He was the right one and is now my dear Son-in-love. I have come to trust in God in all prayers lifted up on behalf of my children.

I have served in this ministry as an area coordinator for East Honolulu, then I became the state coordinator in the summer of 2018. I love this ministry and the many women I have met and come to love as they lead their areas and groups. I look forward to helping you connect to another praying mom. Yes, you CAN make a difference!

“Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; Trust also In Him, And He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:4-5 (NKJV)
