God understands a mother's heart

How to Be Honest With God in Prayer

“We wanted to give women permission to say all the things. That they don’t have to pretty themselves up before they come to the Lord; they can come to Him with all their yuck.” Hillary Morgan Ferrer, founder of Mama Bear Apologetics, and Julie Loos, who has served in Moms in Prayer for over 20 years, share about their newest book, “Honest Prayers for Mama Bears.” God wants us to bring our whole, true selves to Him and lay our hearts and burdens before Him. And you know what? That’s not too much for God. That’s actually what He wants! He loves you, uniquely made you, and wants to hear from YOU.

  1. God already knows our heart so why not be honest? Love the transparency Hillary and Morgan offer listeners as they describe the kinds of prayers in this book. They are grounded in His word and united in purpose to empower women and glorify God. I am anticipating powerful prayers as a lifting off point for my group as these women cover the reality of the culture our children encounter today. No head in the sand, but boots on the ground to engage the battle with confidence in God’s victory. Thank you,

    1. Amen! Our God is victorious and what a privilege that He has invited us into His plan! May we depend on Him and glorify Him in all we say and do!

    2. Thank you for this piece, In prayer we learn every day and make amends as we learn backing it up with the word of God. God knows me more than I know myself why would I cut corners in prayer

      1. Yes, praying the Word of God is so powerful! Thankful for our God Who knows us so intimately and loves us deeply–we can bring anything to Him in prayer!
