Precious mom, hello and welcome to Moms in Prayer Iowa!

Thank you for browsing our website to learn more about Moms in Prayer. You are an answer to prayer! Praying for our children is one of the most powerful things we can do as moms. Moms in Prayer is a beautiful prayer movement that enables us to schedule consistent, intentional time to pray.

At each meeting, we pray scriptural and specific prayers for our children and schools with other moms. As we do this, we learn more about God, grow in our relationship with Him, and grow in confidence that He hears and answers us. Also, hearing another mom lovingly pray for our child by name is encouraging and builds a foundation for life-long friendships.

Our amazing Iowa Moms in Prayer women and I are eager to meet you and help you get started in a Moms in Prayer group. Together, may we rise up bold in strength from the Lord to impact every child and school in Iowa for Christ by gathering moms to pray.

Experience another mom praying for your child and the joy of seeing God at work in your child’s school.

My Moms in Prayer Story

I remember the lump in my throat during our daughter’s first week of kindergarten when I dropped her off in carline. She walked all by herself down that long sidewalk, then down the long hall to her classroom. As I drove out of the parking lot, tears began streaming down my face. So I was thankful that I was inspired by reading “Every Child Needs a Praying Mom” by Fern Nichols and I started a Moms in Prayer group to pray for our children and school with a friend. Praying in our group taught me to allow God to replace my worries and fears with His peace and comfort.

Thirteen years later, again I found that I had a lump in my throat as I dropped her off at college. As we drove out of the parking lot, tears streamed down my face. Again, God replaced my concerns with assurance that He would fulfill His purpose for her life.

From kindergarten to college, God has used Moms in Prayer in my life to grow my relationship with Him. My confidence in Him to hear and answer our prayers continues to increase. God has also provided amazing prayer partners and treasured friendships. Although our children are grown, praying in my Moms in Prayer group continues to be one of the most powerful things I do as a mom. I can’t imagine my life without Moms in Prayer and enjoy sharing my experience with others.
