Mississippi State Coordinator, Delise Barnes

I am so glad you want to find out more about Moms in Prayer International. I love helping women in Mississippi step out into God’s calling to cover their children and schools in prayer. Being part of a Moms in Prayer group of women who pray for their children in one accord, is powerful and rewarding. Where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst (Matthew 18:20).

Experience another mom praying for your child and the joy of seeing God at work in your child’s school.

My Moms in Prayer Story

I was new in town and saw a Moms in Prayer flyer inviting moms to attend a group meeting. I dropped in on the meeting and it was great! The four steps format was easy to follow and we prayed Scripture straight from the Bible over our children and their schools. We prayed together in small groups of two or three. It was comforting to know that what we prayed about stayed in our group. We went through many trials and struggles with all of our children, but the comfort and peace I had every time I left those meetings was indescribable. We had indeed gone to battle for our children through prayer.

I was born in Alabama, but I currently live in Mississippi. I am a wife, mom, Bible teacher, and Women’s Ministry Coordinator at my church. I have a burning desire in my heart to see others learn about the love of Jesus and how He can transform their lives. Prayer changes things; I know this for sure. My husband, James, and I live in Starkville. We are blessed with seven children. That’s a lot of prayers, for sure. One of the very best things you can do for your children and others in this world today is pray. I will be, and I hope you will join me!
