Let God use you!

I am so glad that you are checking out this web page. I would love to meet you and connect you with other moms across Alaska who are praying for their children and schools. God is using the Moms in Prayer ministry in a powerful way to impact this next generation. Our goal is to have groups praying for all 547 schools in Alaska. Please join us on this godly adventure!

This is how God is answering our prayers in Alaska:

My daughter struggles with anxiety. We’ve been praying for her and for God to break through in this area of her life. We often use 2 Timothy 1:7, asking God to remind her that she was not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound judgment. I have seen a lot of growth in her in this area over the past year.

“A girl at our school in Anchorage was being bullied pretty seriously. Any time her mother would talk to the mother of the girl doing the bullying, she would ignore it or make excuses. In our weekly Moms in Prayer group, we prayed for the girl, thinking she may have something troubling her to treat someone this way. After some time, the girl who was bullying seemed to have a moment of clarity and wrote a sincere letter of apology! This was a wonderful answer to prayer for a situation that had been causing this family much anguish. Praise God!”—praying mom in Anchorage

A homeschool mom in the Fairbanks area prayed boldly at the beginning of the school year that God would grow her Moms in Prayer group. Little did she know how much God would move in answer to her prayer. Six ladies consistently attended this past school year and sometimes up to nine. Every spot at her dining room table was filled with praying moms.

I would love to hear from you. If you’re not in a Moms in Prayer group yet, you need to get connected!

My Moms in Prayer Story

I was introduced to Moms in Prayer during the summer of 2015 through a divine appointment with a tourist. God had been tugging on my heart strings to pray for my family, but I was unsure of which direction to go. I lead worship during the summer for a boat ministry. Each Sunday morning the boat goes out to Prince William Sound and we hold a worship service. That day, there was a tourist on the boat who shared Moms in Prayer with me and gave me a Booklet. When school began, I joined a Moms in Prayer group in Valdez. And here I am today, staying strong in Moms in Prayer.

I have learned how to pray more effectively by using the Four Steps of prayer and by praying scripture over my family. It has blessed my husband, Mark, and our two teenage girls, Elaina and Sarah.

One of my favorite verses to pray over my family is Ephesians 1:17-18(NIV), “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.”

What’s your Moms in Prayer story? I would love to hear it! If you don’t have one yet, make sure to connect with a Moms in Prayer group now.
