My journey with Moms in Prayer began during the summer of 2015. God had placed on my heart the desire to pray and I was seeking His direction. I work for a boat ministry during the summer. Each Sunday we take a tour boat out into the North Prince William Sound for an hour-long worship service. After one of these services, a lady approached me and introduced me to Moms in Prayer. She was on vacation with her family. I felt like this was a direct answer to prayer. She gave me a Booklet and I started a group in Valdez, AK.

I grew up with grandparents praying diligently for me and looked forward to learning how to pray for my family. Moms in Prayer has been a huge blessing in my life and that of my family. It has taught me how to pray Scripture over my family. It’s awesome to see God’s answers to our prayers and to hear other women praying over my children.

My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 16 years. He is very supportive of my time in Moms in Prayer. We have been blessed with two daughters, Elaina and Sarah. I enjoy spending time outside, cooking, reading, crafting, and riding horses.

One of my favorite verses to pray over my family is Ephesians 1:17-18, “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.”
