Making Jesus Known Through Prayer

Through prayer, Jesus is making Himself known. There is one resounding statement that I hear from moms throughout New Jersey, “Moms in Prayer has taught me how to pray!” This is certainly a statement that I can claim as well. Moms in Prayer has taught me how to pray, but most importantly, I have learned to trust Jesus in a deeper way. I also want your relationship with Jesus to grow through praying in a Moms in Prayer group!

One of the goals that the Lord has laid on my heart is for New Jersey Moms in Prayer groups to be unified so we may see every school in the state covered in prayer. John 17:23 states, “I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity.”

My Moms in Prayer Story

During a church based Bible study, I heard a few moms talking about Moms in Prayer. The mention of this ministry sparked my interest and the moms explained to me that they intercede for their children and schools for one hour a week. At that time my children were 4,3, and 1; I knew this was something I wanted to do for my children when they entered school. A few years later, when my oldest daughter was in second grade, I took the leap of faith and started a Moms in Prayer group for her school. I continue to pray in a group weekly, even though my children are now grown and flown.

Moms in Prayer has deepened my relationship with the Lord by teaching me how to pray and has introduced me to women throughout New Jersey who have the same heart to intercede for their children, schools, and others. This ministry has grounded me with a deep love for the Lord and a heart to serve Him. I love to sign my emails, “Watching God Work,” since through prayer I have seen God work in extraordinary ways. “Be still and know that I am God.”  Psalm 46:10a (NIV)

My husband, Charlie, and I have been married for 28 years. We have three adult children, Brianne, Charles, and Christy. Ryley, our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, and I are a certified therapy dog team and love visiting nursing homes, schools, and libraries. You may also find me walking on the beach at Long Beach Island or hiking one of the New Jersey trails.
