Colorado State Coordinator, Lisa Freyschlag
I love the verses from 1 Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you.”
God has shown me in my Moms in Prayer journey how HIS timing is so providential! I prayed in groups for our three children for about 15 years, and then was surprisingly called by God five years later to serve as an area coordinator, and now as Colorado State Coordinator. I see Moms in Prayer as a “golden thread” through the lives of our children, connecting them with God’s Word and will, and helping me to truly cast my anxiety upon my loving Creator. What better legacy can we leave than to pray God’s word and will into the lives of our precious ones, and lift their schools and teachers to God’s care? I love meeting with, encouraging and equipping others to follow the powerfully effective Four Steps of Prayer method—resulting in deeper relationships and bolder, more confident faith!
I have been married to Griff for 33 years. Our three grown children are all married, and we have three young grandchildren…such JOY! I work part-time as a Reading Resource Teacher and still love competitive waterskiing, exercise dance, calligraphy, and spending time with friends and family. Moms in Prayer women have become a treasured family of friends for me and I feel honored to begin serving as the Colorado State Coordinator!
I would love to hear from you. If you’re not in a Moms in Prayer group yet, you need to get connected! Experience another mom praying for your child and the joy of seeing God at work in your child’s school.
