A HARVEST of Hearts in West Virginia!

As we take time to pray for our children and schools, God blesses us in so many amazing ways! One of the sweetest gifts of Moms in Prayer is watching moms walk in to our group time weak and weary, only to march out feeling thankful and confident that God is working and the He is hearing and answering their prayers.

Over ten years ago, three of us in our Moms in Prayer group had daughters getting ready to start high school. We were anxious about this change and understood how important it was to have close godly friends at this time in their lives. We prayed, asking God specifically to send a young adult Christian girl who could mentor them over the summer. He sent us the perfect fit, who just happened to be the daughter of another Moms in Prayer friend. That summer marked the beginning of precious friendships. Our daughters are now in their mid-twenties, loving & serving the Lord, and mentoring young girls themselves. They pray for and “do life together” in the sweetest way.

Moms in Prayer is a life-changing and lifelong ministry we never outgrow. Join with moms across our state as we continue to plant seeds and pray for the most ABUNDANT harvest of hearts in West Virginia that we’ve ever seen!

My Moms in Prayer Story

Then He multiplies the seed as you sow it, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow. 2 Corinthians 9:10b (TPT)

God is definitely at work multiplying the seeds of prayer in West Virginia! For me, the Moms in Prayer seed was planted when I heard Fern Nichols on Focus on the Family. I was still involved in Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) so I tucked it away until God encouraged me to start my first group in 2005 when my youngest started school. I humbly accepted the role as State Coordinator for West Virginia in 2014. What began as a desire to pray for my children and schools multiplied into blessings far beyond anything I could ever imagine!

My husband and I live in Shady Spring and have been married since 1983. Our years together and being mom to our son, two girls, and now MiMi to our little granddaughter, are some of the sweetest blessings! It’s so exciting to partner with the Lord and other moms as He answers our prayers and impacts our children and generations for His glory!
