Scriptures:

Scriptures about Sarah (Sarai) found in Genesis 12, 16-18, 21

And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.  Hebrews 11:11-12 (NIV)

I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.  Psalm 138:2 (NLT)

O Jehovah, Commander of the heavenly armies, where is there any other Mighty One like you? Faithfulness is your very character.  Psalm 89:8 (TLB)

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.  Psalm 5:3 (NIV)

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.  Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 (NIV)

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.  Romans 4:19-21(NIV)

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?  Jeremiah 32:27 (NIV)

About our Guest:

Fern Nichols is a former elementary school teacher and the founder of Moms in Prayer International, a prayer movement that mobilizes women around the world to gather to pray for their children and schools. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight in this battle she needed to invite other moms to pray. She called a mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate “yes,” and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the USA in every state and is in more than 150 countries. Fern has traveled to almost every continent in the world speaking, teaching and training women how to pray effectively. She and her husband Rle have been married for 53 years. They were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU) for 15 years. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.

    1. Thank you for your comment Kim. So glad this is encouraging for you. I will forward your comment to Fern Nichols.

  3. Thank you, Fern, for reminding us to listen intently and remember the Lord’s faithful promises. We can hold onto them, as Stacy reminded, us because they are given to us by the Almighty God. As we praised Him in our MIPI group this morning, He is Above All and has all authority to keep His Word to the very details! AND He delights to do so.

  4. Because of His character. . .All things are possible!
    He is our Living Hope
The joy of knowing Him is our strength.
    What a blessing!
