South Texas Moms!

If you are looking to be deeply encouraged and dramatically empowered, take a step today to join a Moms in Prayer group! Gather with moms who pray during a weekly prayer hour using a prepared prayer sheet as their guide. Experience God’s power being unleashed through your faith-filled prayers over your children, their teachers and their schools. Watch as generation after generation is influenced for Christ!

“This, then, is how you should pray…” (Matthew 6:9). Our gracious Savior’s answer to his disciples when they asked Him to teach them to pray. He encouraged them in a way which acknowledges the Father’s character and submits to His will so that His Kingdom would come, that His will would be done. This is my prayer for Christian moms all throughout South Texas and around the world— to experience our miracle-working God through the MIP Four Steps of Prayer as we pray scripturally with other moms!

My Moms in Prayer Story

It was 2008 when I joined my first Moms in Prayer (MIP) group. I had already been praying for my children, but I often felt discouraged and alone in those prayers. I didn’t know what I needed, but I sensed that it was support, so I reached out to connect with a local MIP group. (I knew absolutely nothing about this ministry!) When I received the initial invitation to my neighborhood group, I was fearful at the thought of praying with and in front of other moms from the school. Praise God that the Holy Spirit won over my flesh that day!

I can still remember that powerful day – recounting the awesome attributes of my God, praying specific scriptures over my children, praying in agreement over the teachers and elementary school. I had never been so encouraged, so uplifted! Even in the busyness of my work schedule and raising littles, I knew that I must prioritize this hour and not miss a week! And I have never stopped meeting with my MIP groups since that day! Through elementary school, middle school, high school, and college, I have witnessed God move mightily! First in my own heart, but then also in the lives of my children, their teachers, administrators and the entire school. All praise to God for His faithfulness!
