How to have a peaceful heart in Christ

God’s Great Love Casts Out Fear

“When you’re in the Word daily and see God’s love over and over again, it gets easier to immediately trust Him. And that then means the fear is not there. Fear is not of God because God is love.” Today we welcome Moms in Prayer Founder, Fern Nichols, back to the podcast. She has been in awe of the goodness of God’s love and shares how understanding this can completely transform our lives! God not only shows us His great love, He IS love. And that changes everything.

We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us. 1 John 4:18 TLB

About our Guest

Fern Nichols is a former elementary school teacher and the founder of Moms in Prayer International, a prayer movement that mobilizes women around the world to gather together to pray for their children and schools. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight in this battle she needed to invite other moms to pray. She called a mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate “yes,” and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the USA in every state and is in more than 150 countries. Fern has traveled to almost every continent in the world speaking, teaching and training women how to pray effectively. She and her husband Rle have been married for over 50 years. They were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU) for 15 years. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.

  1. Very Encouraging always,
Thank you so much for this opportunity to be able to hear more about your faith and teachings in God’s words and Love. Yes I ‘ve been a Mom in Prayer since February 2016, almost 10 years God willing. I never thought of that before – I got used to being with one friend who made me amazed when she introduced me to Moms in Prayer at that time. The Booklet -your testimony – the 4 Steps – etc etc… especially all the Attributes and Characters of God have helped me to live my daily life and circumstances free of fear. I dare say that Moms in Prayer Ministry has helped me with confidence and understanding of everything that goes through my children -family and my own life. I am the one who always encourages them not to be afraid of anything but to keep relying on God’s Love and Grace.
Thank you again so much Mom and Grandma Fern Nichols.
Thanks for being a Blessing to all generations.

    1. Hello, Thank you for your wonderful comments. I will forward this to Fern Nichols. Also, thank you for praying for children and schools. God bless you.

  2. It’s good to hear your voice, Fern! Things are going well in Albuquerque. Our oldest son has been a pastor for 20 years. Mike’s logo design for MIT is a treasure to us. We’re retired now but find purpose in praying for our six grandchildren, as they are ages 9 to 14. Thank you for all the prayers! Pam Bridge
