East Texas State Coordinator, Dawn Fisher
Prayer with a Moms in Prayer group is a beautiful combination of fellowship with the Lord and each other! As we gather to pray God’s Word over children and schools, He multiplies the blessings of that time in powerful ways that only He can do. God miraculously impacts our children, their schools, and our lives while building our faith and knowledge of Him and forging Kingdom friendships!
My hope for Moms in Prayer in East Texas is that every town be filled with new groups, “Praising the Lord of Hosts, for the Lord is good; His faithful love endures forever” (Jeremiah 33:11) and giving thanks to Him for the joy and peace He provides. I want other moms to experience the power of praying scripture and the beauty of one accord agreement prayer with like-hearted women.
Join a group and share Moms in Prayer so that He can continue transforming lives and communities throughout our state!

My Moms in Prayer Story
I first heard about Moms in Prayer when I spoke with my neighbor, Mary Beth, who was on her way to pray with her group. My heart jumped for joy at the thought of gathering with other moms to pray. I joined a group once my youngest entered Kindergarten, TEN years later! I tell that story to encourage you that God has the timing; our part is to sow the seeds to spread His Word (and this wonderful ministry).
As my group prayed for our kids through stages and situations from kindergarten to adulthood, God met each challenge and child right where and when it was needed. The Lord not only redirected and protected my children, but also redirected ME to focus on Him, remember His Word does not return void, and that He will help if I place my trust in Him! God has saved lives and souls, put godly people in our children’s lives and schools, and provided discernment and wisdom. Psalm 28:7 says, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.”
My husband Doug and I have been married since 1996 and are blessed with four children who are now almost all grown. None of us ever outgrows the need for prayer, however! My group and I continue praying for our kids as they enter adulthood. I look forward to lifting each generation of our family and world up in prayer. I love the verse from a recent Moms in Prayer gathering, “Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!” (Psalm 116:2)
