Faithful in Prayer in the Northeast

Moms are faithfully rising up in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine to seek the Lord in prayer for their children and schools by starting or joining a Moms in Prayer group.

The definition of faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something. When we pray in our Moms in Prayer groups, we demonstrate our faith in the Lord by placing our children in His hands each week. We stand confident as we pray using Scripture, knowing that the Lord’s Word does not return void. The Lord has a plan and a purpose for our children’s lives. Our heart-felt desire is for our children to walk in the Lord’s will so that His plans for their life may be fulfilled.

If you have never prayed scripturally for your child, now is the time to start. If you are a seasoned prayer warrior, keep on praying! Psalm 69:13 says, “But as for me, my prayer is to You, LORD, at an acceptable time; God, in the greatness of Your mercy, answer me with Your saving truth.” Today is the day to trust in God’s Word and be faithful in prayer.

Join us in this God-sized mission of seeing every school in the Northeast covered in prayer. Your prayers matter!

My Moms in Prayer Story

When my children were tiny tots, 4, 3, and 1, I heard about Moms in Prayer (MIP) during a church-based Bible study I was attending. A few of the women in the study had to leave early so they could attend their MIP group. I inquired about this ministry and as the moms were explaining it to me, God pierced my heart and I knew that this was something I wanted to do for my children. Through the years, I have seen God work in guiding and directing my children, their classmates, and teachers in ways only He can. As a mom now with adult children, I look back and realize that one of the best gifts that I gave them through the years was to pray for them. I praise God that He kept me faithful in prayer for them for the last 23 years.

Moms in Prayer has deepened my relationship with the Lord by teaching me how to pray and has introduced me to women throughout New Jersey and the world who have the same heart to intercede for their children, teachers, and schools. This ministry has grounded me with a deep love for the Lord and a heart to serve Him. I love to sign my emails, “Watching God Work,” since through prayer I have seen God work in extraordinary ways. My favorite bible verse is “Be still and know that I am God” from Psalm 46:10. In MIP, we have that time to be still before the Lord and know Him for His many attributes.

My husband, Charlie, and I have been married for 32 years. We have three adult children, Brianne and her husband Tyler, Charles, and Christy & her fiancé Brett. During my leisure time you may find me taking long walks, reading on the beach at Long Beach Island, biking one of the many bike paths in NJ or NY, or hiking the beautiful trails in the Northeast.
