Arkansas State Coordinator, Kim West
Among the many roles we embrace as moms and grandmothers, the most enduring act we can fulfill on earth is prayer—a legacy that echoes into eternity. Revelation 5:8 reveals that in heaven, the elders will present the prayers of the saints in golden bowls before God’s throne. You, praying women of Arkansas, are part of this sacred group of saints!
I’m deeply encouraged by God’s promise in Ephesians 3:11-12: “This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.”
Let’s cooperate with the Lord and unite in approaching His throne with courage and confidence, lifting up the children of Arkansas, their schools and places of work, as we seek His will in their lives and ours.

My Moms in Prayer Story
In 1987, I heard Fern Nichols’ radio interview with Dr. James Dobson on Focus on the Family. From that moment, I knew that if God blessed us with children, I wanted to be part of Moms in Prayer (MIP). Eleven years later, in 1998, with two children in tow and having just moved to Hong Kong, I joined my first MIP group. My life was changed as I learned to focus my prayers on God’s character and His Word.
In 2001, after adopting our third child and moving from Asia to Arkansas, God faithfully connected me with another group of praying moms. I’ve been part of that wonderful community ever since. One scripture I often pray over our children and grandchildren is, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…” Ephesians 3:14–17a
Over the years, I’ve witnessed God pursue our children, strengthen them when they are weary, and call our children into full-time ministry and service. He is faithful—and we are called to be faithful in prayer, trusting Him to work in the lives of our children and grandchildren. I’ve learned there is no greater place to be than in His presence, interceding for the next generation and the places they live, learn, and work.
