Alaska State Coordinator, Loretta Railing
The State of Alaska is really big and sometimes our problems can seem even bigger. At Moms in Prayer, we learn to focus on our God who is far greater than any problem we could have.
As you progress through the Four Steps of Prayer, it is such a blessing to hear other moms pray in agreement with you for your children and their schools. My desire is to see the women of Alaska learn experientially the power of praying Scripture, focusing on who God is, and replacing fear with the peace that comes from bringing all our concerns to God. I love that Moms in Prayer leads us to thank God during our prayer hour. Gratitude is the healthiest emotion and it dispels worry.

My Moms in Prayer Story
I am so grateful that I learned about Moms in Prayer when my children were growing up. Raising eight children was not easy. At times I wondered if I was going to make it, but gathering with other moms to pray and bringing my requests to God gave me the hope to carry on. I prayed godly character traits into them through the Bible verses on the prayer sheets. I can see how God has answered those big prayers.
Now, I continue to pray not only for my eight children, but also for my grandchildren! I see the fruits of all the years of praying and have the joy of seeing my children as parents raising their children to be Christ followers.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska with my husband, Scott. We have eight children and thirteen grandchildren.
God of peace, may You equip our children with everything good for doing Your will, and may You work in them what is pleasing to You, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. From Hebrews 13:20-21
