Oklahoma State Coordinator, Mattie Morris
I’m excited to obediently follow God’s calling to serve Him in a way that not only glorifies Him, but builds the prayer lives of the women of Oklahoma. What an honor it is to teach women to pray Scripture! According to Isaiah 58:9-11, the LORD says if we cry out to Him, He will answer. Ladies of Oklahoma, let us cry out to Him on behalf of our children and schools. Let us believe Him for great things for our state! Verse 11 promises, “The LORD will guide you always, He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Join me in pouring out prayers across our state so that the LORD can use them to water our land.

My Moms in Prayer Story
In 2006 when my daughter started Kindergarten, my mom invited me to join her Moms in Prayer group. I immediately felt the peace of praying instead of worrying for my baby girl in public school. I prayed with their group until I started a group for our school. As my kids grew, I continued as either a group leader or member. We saw countless answered prayers, from salvation stories to the protection of our little ones. God provided a much needed fence for the security of our school. When the Lord moved us to Oklahoma in 2021, I began looking for MIP groups. Not finding one, I realized He was leading me into an Area Coordinator position to be available to start groups in Southwest Oklahoma. The very best part of being a MIP mom was seeing how it affected my daughter’s vision of prayer. She’s quick to share requests with me and has always given God the glory for answered prayers.
Scott and I have been married since 1996. God has been so faithful to sustain and grow our family; we have a daughter, two married sons, and six grandchildren. I now pray with a Grandmas in Prayer group and it’s my pleasure to continue to cover each one of my children and grandchildren in scripture. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, God tells us what His will is for us and I have made it a daily motto: “Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
