How to rely on God's strength

Depending on His Strength

“We humans have no idea what His plans are and what is in His heart. So, we need only and daily the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives.” Today we continue in our 1 Corinthians series, Victorious in Motherhood, by walking through chapter two with our Europe and Israel Director, Kathrin Larsen. She reminds us of the power of God’s Word and the gift of the Holy Spirit as we depend on Him and not our own strength. As we keep in step with Him, we can know how deeply we are loved and that His power is made perfect in our weakness. We can have the mind of Christ!

Scriptures

Doing too much for your childTeach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 NIV

For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:11 ESV

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 ESV

But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Psalm 8:4-9 NIV
